Job Description:

Tesco is a leading manufacturer of trailers, truck bodies and equipment as well as a full service repair facility.

Tesco is looking for a truck and coach technician, experienced with medium to heavy duty trucks. The ideal candidate is passionate about mechanics and heavy equipment and is up to date in the trade and continues to learn in order to always be at the top.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintenance on hydraulics
  • Responsible for diagnostic, repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
  • Assure quality control on work and repairs done
  • Fill out service documents within deadlines
  • Order parts necessary to various repairs
  • Testing repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Communicating with customers, co-workers and service manager
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Any other duties required to complete the job

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
    • 3 rd or 4 th year apprentice in Truck & Coach OR
    • 310T licensed
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a mechanic in heavy trucking
  • Completion of high school
  • Valid Ontario's Driver's License
  • Valid DZ or AZ License preferred
  • Must have own tools
  • Tenacious person, a hard worker
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Known for producing results
  • Skills for learning new techniques and methods
  • Ability to work in a team cohesively
  • Strong knowledge in hydraulics an asset
  • Excellent diagnostic abilities preferred

Compensation
