Technical Service Representative
Joy Global (Canada) Ltd., a global industry leader in the supply of heavy equipment for Canada's booming mining industry, offers strong potential for your career growth. We are currently looking for a Technical Service Representative (TSR) in our Sparwood location at Sparwood, British Columbia. The successful candidate may be required to travel throughout Canada including AB, SK, ON and NFDL as needed by Joy Global.
In this position, you will apply your electrical and mechanical skills to service, troubleshoot and repair shovels and alliance equipment in open pit mining and/or underground mining environments.
Provide support for upgrades and lend technical support to mine operations as required
Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications Letourneau Loaders.
Install, replace and repair electrical control and distribution equipment, such as Switches, relays and circuit breaker panels
Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components of Letourneau Loaders.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
Check Letourneau Loaders for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required on Letourneau Loaders
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems of Letourneau Loaders or advise clients how to perform these duties
Qualified Journeyman or relevant post High School Education from any Jurisdiction
Extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of LeTourneau Loaders
Superior customer service skills and communication skills
Solid track record in dealing with customers in a technical role
Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
You will possess proven experience working on project upgrades and new machine commissioning as well as troubleshooting LeTourneau Loaders while working in an outdoor and/or underground environment plus demonstrated electrical proficiency on high voltage electrical equipment
Ability to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time
Basic hydraulic and mechanical knowledge applied to a broad range of related equipment and a solid commitment to safety and accuracy also required
Wage and Benefits:
Wage Rate Range: $44.85 - $51.19 (The successful candidate will be compensated based on their competencies)
Position: Permanent Hourly Full-time
