ELG FZE on behalf of FrontierMEDEX is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Canadian registered ACP/ICP medics to support their client's survey operations offshore Labrador and Newfoundland and Nova Scotia during the period c. May to October 2014.
With high standards of fitness and a proven emergency medical and trauma care background; candidates should be current in ACLS and ITLS certification. Previous offshore experience would be an advantage. A valid Offshore Safety and Survival Certificate, to include HUET, is a mandatory requirement.
Role duties include:
Provision of primary, emergency and trauma medical care to the vessels' crew, normally between 30-60 personnel Provision of regular health campaigns to the crew Promote healthy lifestyle options including motivating crew in relation to fitness training A variety of health and safety related duties including water testing, injury prevention training, health & hygiene inspections First aid training
Computer literate Able to work under their own initiative Team player with an outgoing attitude Interest in medical welfare, health, safety and hygiene promotion General administration
