COUPN Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner (PHCNP) Consortium
Provincial Program Manager (Toronto)
Reporting to the COUPN Consortium board, and in conjunction with consortium committees, the Provincial Program Manager oversees all province-wide aspects of PHCNP education delivery, and supports the 9 university sites in the delivery of the program.
Responsibilities:
Develops and manages the consortium budget
Administers the funding agreement and reports to Ministry of Health and Long-term Care (MOHLTC) on financials and deliverables; manages the funding flow to the 9 university consortium sites
Assists in consortium policy development and implementation
Coordinates tasks related to annual curriculum development and implementation
Oversees the Distance Education office, ensuring effective delivery of distance learning
Province-wide coordination and strategic planning related to admissions
Oversees provincial marketing/public affairs related to the program, including acting as a representative of the Consortium at provincial and national levels
Ensures the functioning and usability of the NP student database
Oversees the Continuing Education Program in its movement towards sustainability
Direct supervision of provincial office administrative staff
Education:
Master’s degree in a related field (for example, but not limited to: MScN, MBA, MPA, MPH)
Eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ontario
Provincial PHCNP certification is an asset
Experience and Skills:
Knowledge of a broad range of nursing education and nursing/healthcare issues
Minimum 3 years experience in a management role
Minimum 2 years experience working in a university academic environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent diplomatic, collaboration and presentation skills to able to foster strong relationships inside and outside the program
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to initiate a strategic plan, manage a project and set short, medium, and long term goals
Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize data for interpretation and report-writing
Functional in French; bilingualism an asset
